Hello to all new subscribers!

Everyone feeling OK? Survived half term?

So, applications for the London Marathon 2020 have already closed, but there is a lot of running still to look forward to in the coming months. Or, if you're like us, you'll just enjoy taking the family along to running events to wave flags.

We've been working on a new feature on Kinfo app. Now, if you input your child(s) school in the app you will be notified of any fellow parents & carers using Kinfo. All good community-building stuff!

Color Run

A beautiful looking event that calls itself "the happiest 5k on the planet". Good vibes abound at this "catalyst for participants to live an active, healthy lifestyle.” “We signed up as a group in Brighton, ideal for the family,” says a mum of 3 about this “fun 5km”.

Hackney Half Marathon

Sign up now for May 2020’s mutha of all community races. Local school kids take part, running a mile a week in the build up, doing the final mile on the day that 20,000 adults compete between London Fields and the Olympic Park. Recommended by a dad of 2, next on 17/5/2020.

RBC Race for Kids

An annual series of charitable runs in different countries holes up in October at London's Hyde Park – and it’ll be their 10th anniversary! All profits go to the Great Ormond Street Hospital, what better incentive to walk, jog, wheel or scoot 5k to help seriously ill children. Afterwards, stay for the burger vans, climbing walls, live stage acts, storytelling and various activities.

Alice Rose Fun Run

Tomorrow's E17 annual fundraiser race in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital will start at 10:30am. A nice and easy one-mile race for all "ages, shapes, sizes, abilities, prams..." and just £4 to enter. Whether you're running or spectating, take lots of water, you're going to need it ☀️

QuadKids

Held every first Sunday of the month at the Parliament Hill athletic track are these running, throwing and jumping sessions, from 12midday-2pm. No need to book, just turn up on the day. Registration starts from 11am. £3 per child, for ages 4- 12.

Junior Park Run

From Queen’s Park to Hackney and beyond… the sometimes Saturday, sometimes Sunday weekly 2k runs encourage kids aged 4-14 to enlist in a free, fun run around the park. "Don't forget to register, bring your barcode and your legs, and off you go!"

Vitality Westminster Mile

This central London event is a heart warmer, a real family affair, catering for all ages and abilities, including families, elite athletes and wheelchair users. It started in 2013 with Paralympic gold-medal winner David Weir making an appearance. Last week, Sir Mo Farah took part. Who will compete next May? Get involved here.

Moormead Junior Park Run

"Open to all, free and safe," writes this mum of 2. All-weather runs take place on Sundays in Twickenham. Check for your personal bests afterwards.

Kids Run Free

Recommended by a mum on Kinfo, who likes that the circuits are perfect for young children. Events are held regularly in various green spaces in the UK with the aim to inspire toddlers to teens to run together for fun and enjoyment, and always for free.
